Canberra turned on the sunshine and the inspiration on August 5, 2025, for our She Gives Roundtable Event. Sixty women joined us for lunch at the picturesque Beltana Farm and shared their voice as part of this campaign to celebrate, share and grow women’s giving.
The tone for the afternoon was set with great intention by the powerful speakers who opened proceedings. She Gives Advisory Group member and Snow Foundation CEO Georgina Byron AM warmly welcomed guests before handing to Director of the Go Foundation and fellow She Gives Advisory Group Member Tanya Hosch to share her wisdom on leadership and diversity in giving.
She Gives Founder Melissa Smith then led an energizing panel discussion with the Founder of WeirAnderson Films Deanne Weir, Co-Founder and Director of Common Threads Amelia Telford and CEO of Beyond Blue Georgie Harman AO.
Following the panel conversations moved to facilitated small group discussions, where guests generously shared their experiences and insights into the barriers and enablers to growing women's giving - all of which will feed directly into a national research report being generated in partnership with the Centre for Social Impact UWA.
